Welcome to BRB, everyone! I realize it's a couple days early on my part, but since author Tonya Kinzer has a guest spot on Wednesday and I won't be able to post, I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Halloween.
In the spirit of the upcoming occasion, I hope whatever you plan to do — take the kids out trick-or-treating, partying with friends, or just staying home to watch spooky movies — the activity will be fun. My children have planned to do the latter. We're going to play a few games, watch a couple of old time scary movies, and eat homemade treats. My son's picked three classic horror flicks: Nosferatu, The Mummy and The Werewolf.
I admit the horror genre really isn't my thing, but I do appreciate films considered to be cult classics. I remember watching the badly-dubbed Godzilla movies as a child, corny perhaps, but they had an indispensable quality about them. I might go as far as to say they were unique; definitely noteworthy for their time. Godzilla provided me with fond childhood memories such as sitting up late with my father eating bowls of buttery popcorn, when I should've been in bed.
I've never watched any of the movies my son has picked so I think he's made several good choices. Actually, I'm looking forward to a quiet evening. It'll be a nice change. Anyway, have a great night!
Happy Yaoi Hunting!
