Welcome once again to BRB, sweeties! It's almost the weekend. Can you believe it? I keep saying it, where does all the time go? This is a first today. I've never had an author from Dark Roast Press as a guest! And, I've got to say, I love the company name! Hello, Victoria, and welcome.
Tell us about yourself.
Originally from New Orleans, I have two daughters and a dog that is ten times crazier than the two daughters combined. I’ve completed a graduate degree and worked in healthcare.
Where and/or how do you find the greatest inspiration?
People I meet. People are fascinating, and relationships are intriguing. For example, why do we “click” with some people and not others? Plus, I’m a Sagittarius. I like to put my daydreams on paper.
What made you chose to write erotic literature in particular? And is there any other genre you’d like to write? And if so, why?
After publishing several blogs, articles, and interviews to promote previous stories, my ebooks sales totaled a little over 100. I read erotic literature was a hot seller in a few articles, so I figured - why not! I’ve had stories published in almost every genre except historical fiction (snooze – sorry historical lovers)!
What’s the hardest part of a novel for you to write: Beginning, middle and/or end? Why?
Fleshing it out. I general write an outline with the beginning, middle, and end already there. Dialogue is very easy to write as well, but bringing it to life by showing/the descriptions takes patience… which I have little (ask my dog).
Writing sex/romantic scenes can be a challenge for some authors. Do you find it difficult? If yes, how do you compensate? If no, where do you draw your inspiration?
No, I have no shame.
Do you have a method you use to write the sensual parts? Do you prefer the sex to be open and bold? Or left to the imagination?
It depends on how much I drank that day.
Who is your favourite character, which you’ve created? And why?
Tania…she’s a hot mess.
Tell us about your newest release.
Tania is on another adventure in Hot Chocolate. The Tania stories are short…so readers get a sweet taste of the thrill and can always come back for more.
Just for fun–
What is your favourite colour? Dark pink.
Which do you prefer a great hero or a great villain? The villain.
What is your favourite movie? And why? Karate Kid.
If you could be anyone in the world who would it be? And why? Ralph Macchio’s wife.
Where do you see your writing career in the next five to ten years?
Selling more than 100 copies.
