AUTHOR INTERVIEW BETHANY HALLE

It's mid week and today sweeties, I've got the multi-talented Bethany Halle/Cassandre Dayne here. Lovely lady and someone who's become a friend. Welcome to BRB Bethany!

Who is, Cassandre Dayne?
Cassandre is the pseudonym for Bethany Halle and an erotic writer. I have seven currently in publication with approximately twenty-two under contract with Rebel Ink Press. I also have one in publication with Naughty Nights Press and two more under contract.

When did you know you wanted to become a writer?
When I was about six years old but only recently did I really decide to do it.

Who and/or what prompted you to write your first novel?
I wrote my first novel at thirteen, finishing several in two years, but life settled in and I finally had the burn and started writing in earnest again a little over two years ago.

Where and/or how do you find the greatest inspiration?
Inspirations come to me typically in the middle of the night. I dream in color and have very wicked ones.

What made you chose to write erotic literature in particular? And is there any other genre you’d like to write? And if so, why?
I also write in paranormal and campy murder mystery set in community associations–Dakotah Black will be bringing her Pinked Series from Rebel Ink Press in December. The series will have approximately sixteen books.

Which appears first when contemplating a new project: A character, the plot and/or the title?
Normally the entire story simply comes to me in a flash.

What’s the hardest part of a novel for you to write: Beginning, middle and/or end? Why?
I don’t generally have a difficult part. I love to write and normally the stories kinda write themselves!

Has your own life influenced your novels? And if so, how?
The Pinked series–as I am a community manager of associations have influenced my life–I call that professional babysitting for adults–and very bad children I might add. Erotic–I tend to be very passionate and will try almost anything once.

Writing sex/romantic scenes can be a challenge for some authors. Do you find it difficult? If yes, how do you compensate? If no, where do you draw your inspiration?
No–not at all!  I love writing highly erotic scenes. I do a lot of research in areas I don’t know such as heavy BDSM, but generally it just flows.

Do you have a method you use to write the sensual parts? Do you prefer the sex to be open and bold? Or left to the imagination?
I am very bold and brassy and it comes out in my writing at all times.

Are your characters based on people you know? Or are they completely fictitious?
Yes a few of them like my real like maintenance man for Breakfast Eye Candy and my UPS guy for Treats in a Plain Brown Wrapper.

Who is your favorite character, which you’ve created? And why?
I have too many in truth to name one. I like my guys with a flaw and with that dangerous bad boy quality. I think I do love all four of my men in Truth, Dare or Dangerous Intent. They’re hot and wicked and have a love of all women and family.

Can you tell us about your latest release? Give a synopsis.
Taming Paradise is being released this week and it’s about a girl running away to the islands to sooth a broken heart but her best gal pal refuses to allow her to fall into chucky monkey ice cream so a wicked game is born. Enter one Caribbean island, two hot men from Down Under, an uninhibited sex club and one wild twist and it’s a HOT one in the making.

What’s your newest WIP? And when we can expect a publication date?
I have two coming out in August and at least one every three weeks for a year. Male Order is a gritty m/m piece about a damaged soul who finally goes on line to find that perfect mate–in a very steamy exclusive club where anything goes as long as it involves domination.

How many novels do you have, that are currently published?
8 published at this point with Rebel Ink Press and one with Naughty Nights Press and many others on the way.

Where do you see your writing career in the next five to ten years?
I see writing in all three genres and hopefully will be able to quit my day job to do so.

TAMING PARADISE

Shannon Myers had it with men. Finding her fiancé, Randolph, in bed with a naughty blond vixen half her age did little for her self-esteem and despair settled in. Incensed, her best friend, Amy, whisked her way to a Caribbean island and a well known Hedonistic spot so that she could recover while convincing her to have a wicked fling of her own. Developing a naughty game titled Taming Paradise, the first one that bedded not one but two stunning hunks would win. Her spirit crushed, Shannon refused until she took one look at New Zealanders, Brandon and his rough-hewn friend Kyle and knew that two young studs just might be her ticket to a slice of happiness. Instantly the nights turned saucy as Brandon introduced her to a very kinky society, where all things scandalous were on the menu.

Shannon found herself falling hard, until she realized that he was none other than Randolph’s son and she was embroiled in a ruse that included releasing her inner most secret and very erotic cravings they had shared together years before. Racing back to the states, she was determined to put the experience behind her. However Brandon wasn’t playing a game. He had been in love with her for years and the moment he found out about his father’s behavior, he was determined to win her heart. It took nefarious planning, a surprise visit from Randolph and a series of truths to finally convince her to take a chance with a young man that stilled her heart and filled her every desire.
