Here Those Sleigh Bells Ringing?

Yes it's that time of year again folks! Time to make a list and check it twice - you need to find out whose been naughty and whose been nice (plus checking the old bank account would help)! I think things are going to be awful tight for most people this year, myself included. I'm counting the pennies as a precaution because our business didn't fair well, and not to scare anyone but next year's predicted to be worse. So I have to conserve, which means back to basics for me and my family. To be honest the gifts don't really matter - never have, it's things like the food, sharing with family and friends, and helping those in need!

For me personally I'm quite content. I've got a roof over my head, food on the table, a wonderful hubby, good kids and no major debts - and yes I'm thankful! There isn't anything I want except an extra set of hands so I can write my novels faster! LOL

This year it's me (the older sister) to the rescue! Christmas will be at my house with my three younger brothers and their foul little off-spring! LOL Just teasing I love my niece and nephews running amuck through my house and throwing the cat around. This family (as in my family) is overrun with men. I've got an older brother too - but I never see him. Thank goodness they're all bringing food! It should be fun. My parents live too far away and their looking after my grandfather. He's 96 - I'm shooting for 100!

Last night was the eXtasy Christmas bash @ theExfactor yahoo group! It was a lot of fun. I dropped in on the chat, in the morning, to say hello and announce my name then I had to dash off unfortunately. Grocery shopping and a bit of Christmas hunting. When I returned home it was late afternoon (my time). And unfortunately I think I missed most of the action. **sadly frowns** No one was chatting. At first I thought it was me or my bad breath, but then I soon realized everyone just needed a pick-me-up! So you guessed it! I sent a bunch of nude pics of hot cowboys and pretty girls - yep and it worked a charm. Some people split their coffee, while others were blinded and others divorced! It was such a hoot! LOL Yes I'm a trouble maker (well when I'm bored)!

Tonight I've got a great recipe to share with you. I've been making these cookies since my daughter was a little girl. As I was telling the chat, she's nineteen and still asks to make them every year - a total family favourite! I discovered the recipe in a Christmas flyer years ago. These are fast and easy to make, and they MELT in your mouth! If you enjoy the taste of shortbread with yummy melted chocolate, this recipe is for you! Enjoy!

Chocolate Snowball Cookies!

1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter or margarine, softened3/4 cup powdered sugar1 tablespoon vanilla extract1/2 teaspoon salt3 cups all-purpose flour2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks crumbled1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
Powdered sugar

PREHEAT oven to 375° F.

BEAT butter, sugar, vanilla extract and salt in large mixer bowl until creamy. Gradually beat in flour; stir in morsels and nuts. Shape level tablespoons of dough into 1 1/4-inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE for 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are set and lightly browned. Remove from oven. Sift powdered sugar over hot cookies on baking sheets. Cool on baking sheets for 10 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Sprinkle with additional powdered sugar, if desired. Store in airtight containers.

We had the food to satisfy the tummy and now onto the real goodies of the evening! **evil laughs** THE FESTIVE EYE CANDY! LMAO
The first pic I snatched from one of my writer groups! I take no credit for either! The other caught my eye on the web. The two men are steamy hot but also there's a hint of romance! Love it!

OUCH My God someone pinch me 'cos I've just died and gone to heaven!
Anyway, I shall retreat into my rabbit hole to continue writing! Have a wonderful evening my sweeties!
And remember...until next time Happy Yaoi Hunting!! (or in this case hunk hunting!) ^_^!!
